Scalloping Last summer my family and I went scalloping. We went with the Laniers and the Warringtons. I love scalloping. The water smelled like a salty oil. Scalloping was fun because when you find one you get really excited and picked it up, swam to the top then et all the water come out of its mouth. We stayed in a house called Cinnamon , but I spent the night at Mary’s every time. The water was warm and shallow. The boat ride there was as bumpy as a rollercoaster. Gen sat in my lap and I had to hold on to her really tight. We almost fell off! I had forgotten my whole bag on the trip and we had to go buy all new things and I still had to borrow other people’s clothes. For dinner we had low country boils, and sometimes we all went out to eat. The grass in the water was itchy but after the first day we got used to it. Saturday I got sunburn. The sunburn was as bad as being in an oven. It was very quiet in the ocean, but when we got back to the place we stayed it was really loud. The re was a mini petting zoo and me and Mary jumped over the gate and pet some of the animals! I had really fun scalloping and I am looking forward to it next year!
